A practicing photographer, PhD in biology, associate professor, and member of the Union of Art Photographers of Russia. He is a two-time recipient of the State Scholarship of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in photography. He is also a member of the Novator photography club in Moscow.    Alexey Mikhailov works in portraiture, art photography, fashion, nudes, and urban landscapes.
